Date ideas in Mayfair

Singer Lily Cooper (nee Allen) was spotted in Mayfair earlier this week, enjoying a romantic meal with her husband Sam for the first time since the birth of their second daughter Marnie. Lily certainly looked the part of the yummy mummy, dressed in a bright red leopard print dress and matching lipstick, whilst Sam was equally dapper in a smart shirt and coat combo, as they dined at popular seafood restaurant Scotts.

Mayfair is a great location for any date.

Mayfair is a great location for any date, whether you’re meeting for the first time, in a long term relationship or, like Lily and Sam, married with babies back at home! Here are some of our favourite ideas for couples wanting to spend an evening out in the area.

A bite to eat.

If Lily’s meal has inspired you to book a romantic dinner out of your own, you’ll be spoilt for choice with restaurants in the Mayfair area. Try The Little Square Restaurant, which serves classic options like wild mushroom risotto and sea bass with butternut squash, or Pizza Express Mayfair for all of your favourite Italian dishes. Alternatively, if you’re in the mood for Asian cuisine, check out The Colony Club, which offers fine dining with a unique Japanese twist.

A drink or two.

Sometimes catching up over a glass of something bubbly is one of the best ways to reconnect. Mayfair establishments cater for all kinds of couples – if you like a pub atmosphere, pay a visit to the quaint Coach and Horses, or if you’re more into bars, spend your night at Fox Club London.

An overnight stay.

There are some fantastic luxury hotels in the Mayfair area where you and your partner can relax, unwind and escape the rest of the world. The Washington Mayfair has a great location and stunning Art Deco design, whilst the 5* London Marriott has its very own Gordon Ramsay restaurant. Book a babysitter and enjoy a night away from the stresses of everyday life, all in the heart of prestigious Mayfair.
