The Mayfair Christmas Market returns from Thursday 26 to Saturday 28 November 2026, on Mayfair Place, W1, from 11 am to 9 pm. Those dates come from the organiser’s own event page, run by Novikov Restaurant and Bar, and they were live when we checked on 15 October 2026. Several London Christmas guides still had no date for it, or were showing last year’s.
Three days on one short street off Berkeley Street. Small, by London standards. The organiser described the 2025 edition as its ninth year, which would make 2026 the tenth.
Below is what has been confirmed, what has not, and how this market sits beside the bigger Christmas markets in London, most of them a walk or a short bus ride from Mayfair. Each detail comes from the organiser’s or the venue’s own published page, and we give the date we read it.
When is the Mayfair Christmas Market 2026 and where is it
The Mayfair Christmas Market 2026 runs from Thursday 26 to Saturday 28 November, 11 am to 9 pm each day, on Mayfair Place, W1, beside Novikov at 50A Berkeley Street. It is held outdoors. Green Park is the nearest Underground station, and the market closes for good on Saturday night.
Mayfair Place is the short street linking Berkeley Street with Stratton Street, just north of Piccadilly, in the City of Westminster. According to the stallholder page, the stalls are covered gazebos that stay up for all 3 days, with their sides closed overnight. So a wet afternoon is not a lost one, although nothing on the page suggests heating.
Getting there is simple. Green Park station is served by the Jubilee, Piccadilly and Victoria lines, and from its Piccadilly exits the walk is a short one along the north side of the road to Stratton Street.
There is no second weekend. Anyone planning a Friday evening has exactly 1 to choose from, Friday 27 November. The page also sets a dress code, which is unusual for a market: smart and elegant, with sportswear, hoodies, shorts and hats discouraged. For the map and contact details, see our Novikov listing; the organiser’s own line is 020 7399 4330.
What does the market offer this year
The 2026 programme is short, and most of it runs every day.
- Champagne. A Louis Roederer Champagne Ice Bar, open daily.
- Music. Live DJ sets from the resident DJs Sally and Spencer every day from 6pm to 9pm, plus carol singers and roving minstrels.
- Food and drink. Market food “with a Novikov twist”, listed as mulled wine, a sweet corner, caviar and oysters. Novikov handles all food and drink sales, according to the stallholder page.
- Santa. Billed as a special guest, with a real reindeer.
- Stalls. Gifts from handpicked vendors. Exhibitors named on the page include Dollond London, Lacorine, Tuscany and Taste, Ar-Rayaan Scents, Melin Collection, Furever London and Beauty Edit Mayfair.
- Photobooth. Free.
Grey Goose, Louis Roederer, Asahi and Diageo appear among the partners. Last year a share of the profits went to SkyWay, a charity that works with young people at risk, and stallholders were asked to contribute on the final day; the 2026 page does not yet say whether SkyWay is involved again.
Two things are missing from both pages. One is an entry price. The other is whether visitors need to book. We have not assumed either, and anyone travelling in specifically should ask the organiser first. The timing tells its own story, though: with DJs only from 6 pm, a weekday lunchtime visit and a Saturday evening one will feel like 2 different markets.

Why so many listings still have the wrong dates
Search for the market this month, and you will meet 3 different answers. Only 1 is right.
Londonist’s 2026 round-up of London Christmas markets lists it with a caption that amounts to a hope, saying in effect that it would like to see the market back this year. A widely shared social media listing gives 28 to 30 November, which matches neither 2025 nor 2026. And the organiser’s own stallholder page still carries last year’s banner: 27 to 29 November 2025, Thursday to Saturday.
The visitor page is the one to trust. It reads “26th to 28th November 2026”, carries a 2026 copyright line and links to stall applications for 2026. The pattern holds, too, since both years fall on the Thursday to Saturday of the last week of November.
A Saturday trip planned for the 30th, as one listing suggests, would arrive 2 days after the stalls have gone. We would rather say that plainly than repeat a date nobody has checked.
Mayfair Christmas Market or Hyde Park Winter Wonderland
Under a mile apart along Piccadilly. Almost nothing else in common.
Hyde Park Winter Wonderland runs for six and a half weeks, from Thursday 19 November 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027, closed only on Christmas Day, according to its official tickets guide. Every visitor needs a timed entry ticket, small children included, and its own page confirms a £1 off-peak entry. Rides, shows and food are paid for separately once inside, which is why it is built for a whole afternoon with children and a budget for the rides.
The Mayfair market works the other way round. 3 days and one street; champagne and oysters instead of rides; a dress code. It suits a December gift list, a lunch on Berkeley Street, or an hour before dinner, more than a day out.
Doing both in one weekend is easy. Winter Wonderland fills the south-east corner of Hyde Park, by Hyde Park Corner, so from Mayfair Place the walk runs west along Piccadilly or through Green Park. Our earlier piece on Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park covers the park side in more detail.
Where else to find a Christmas market near Mayfair in 2026
Beyond Mayfair Place, the confirmed choice nearest Mayfair is Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, open from 19 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. The Leicester Square and Southbank Centre Christmas markets in London usually open in early November, but neither had published 2026 dates when we checked on 15 October.
That gap matters. Several guides already print November start dates for Leicester Square and for the Southbank Centre’s Winter Market, but they label them as expected, based on previous years, and the Southbank Centre’s own page was still showing its 2025 season. Until the organisers publish, any 2026 date for either is an estimate.
Mayfair’s own Christmas happens mostly on its streets rather than at stalls. The lights over New Bond Street and South Molton Street are the season’s best-known sight in this corner of the West End, and our guide to the Christmas lights in Mayfair covers where to see them. For restaurants and hotels over the holidays, start with our Christmas in Mayfair page.
So the decision is a simple one. For a compact Mayfair afternoon of gifts, champagne and carols, put Thursday 26 to Saturday 28 November in the diary and head to Mayfair Place, W1, any time between 11 am and 9 pm. For rides and a full day out with children, book a Winter Wonderland slot instead. Both are within walking distance of Green Park station. Only one of them is gone by the end of November, and that is the Mayfair Christmas Market, which closes on Saturday 28 November.
