On 31 October 2026 we read the festive pages and brochures of 6 venues that publish figures, and the service charge alone moved the bill by 12.5% to 15%.
That line on the bill matters more than the headline. A seated party for 40 in the Private Dining Room at The May Fair, the smallest group its 2026 brochure accepts in that room, comes to £6,750 once the 12.5% service charge is added. The hotel sits on Stratton Street, 212 metres in a straight line from Green Park station, and it is one of the few in Mayfair, W1, that prints those terms in full. Most of its neighbours answer a party enquiry with a form.
Below are the published prices, the real cost per head, the rooms and their minimums, and the booking-site figures that do not match the venues.
What a Christmas party in Mayfair costs in 2026
A 2026 Christmas party in Mayfair costs £125 to £195 a head on the venues' own pages, or roughly £140 to £225 once a 12.5% to 15% service charge is added. A festive set lunch costs less: Novikov's is £65 for 3 courses, before its 14.5% service charge.
Most of those figures already include VAT. The May Fair's brochure says "Prices include VAT", as do The Chesterfield Mayfair's brochure, Amazónico's 2026 festive brochure and Novikov's set lunch menu. Service, however, is the variable, and every one of them adds it on top. Across the Christmas party venues in Mayfair that publish a figure, it runs from 12.5% to 15%, so a party budget built on menu prices alone will come up short.
What the money buys varies too. At The May Fair, the £150 package covers a Christmas cocktail or English sparkling wine on arrival, 3 courses and a demi bottle of house wine. At The Chesterfield Mayfair, £130 covers exclusive use of a private dining room, a 3-course festive menu, a half bottle of the sommelier's wine, tea, coffee, mince pies and Christmas crackers. Water is not included there, at £6 a head extra.
Six Mayfair venues with a published festive price
These are the only Christmas party venues in Mayfair, among the more than 30 we searched, whose own pages carried a usable 2026 festive group price on 31 October 2026.
The May Fair Hotel, Stratton Street. Seated packages cost £150 for 3 courses or £175 for 4, and a standing package with cocktails, canapés and festive small plates costs £125. VAT included, 12.5% discretionary service, according to the hotel's 2026 Christmas brochure. Minimums are 40 guests in the Private Dining Room, 90 in the Danziger Suite and 120 in the Crystal Ballroom.
The Chesterfield Mayfair, 35 Charles Street. Festive package from £130 a head, VAT included, with a 15% service charge, per its festive brochure. Canapés are £10 a head extra and a sparkling wine reception £32. Stanley's rooftop takes up to 60 for exclusive use, from £12,000.
The Guinea Grill, 30 Bruton Place. Its Christmas 2026 menus run from 25 November to 24 December: Festive Fayre at £140, the Sharing Feast at £155 with a minimum of 8, and the Christmas Feast at £175. The menus do not state service or VAT.
Amazónico, 10 Berkeley Square. Festive private dining menus at £75 (lunch only), £130, £160 and £195, VAT included, with 15% service, according to its 2026 festive brochure.
Sexy Fish, Berkeley Square House. Festive tasting menus at £95, £135 and £175 a head, daily from 2 November, with a 14.5% discretionary service charge. The menu does not say whether VAT is included.
Novikov, 50A Berkeley Street. A Christmas set lunch at £65 for 3 courses or £80 for 4, VAT included, plus 14.5% service. It is a set menu for a table rather than a private party.
Amazónico and Sexy Fish both stand on Berkeley Square, under 100 metres apart, and Novikov is 116 metres in a straight line from Green Park station, so 3 of the 6 sit within a short walk of one another in the south of Mayfair.
The service charge decides the real bill
2 venues print the same £130, and they meet again on the bill.
With 15% service, The Chesterfield's £130 and Amazónico's £130 both become £149.50. By contrast, The May Fair's £150 becomes £168.75 with 12.5%. Each row below adds the venue's stated service charge to its published price, across the Christmas party venues in Mayfair that print one.

The May Fair also offers a rare like-for-like comparison, because its earlier brochures are still online. In 2024 its packages started at £135 with a 10% service charge, so £148.50 on the bill. For 2026 the start is £150 with 12.5%, which comes to £168.75. That is £20.25 more per head in 2 years, a rise of about 14%, and £5.25 of it comes from the higher service rate rather than the menu.
At the 40-guest minimum in the Private Dining Room, the same entry package cost £5,940 in 2024 and costs £6,750 in 2026. In Mayfair this Christmas, the same £130 menu price becomes £149.50 on the bill at 2 venues, and The May Fair's £150 becomes £168.75.
Booking sites quote prices the venues do not
A marketplace price looks like a fair guide.
On 31 October 2026, however, 2 booking sites that list Christmas party venues in London showed figures for Christmas party venues in Mayfair that the venues themselves do not publish.
Hire Space's Mayfair Christmas party page listed The May Fair Hotel "From £85 per person". The hotel's cheapest 2026 package is £125, and that one is standing. DesignMyNight's Mayfair roundup, marked as updated on 23 October 2026, offered The Chesterfield Mayfair's "festive party package from just £190", where the hotel's own brochure says from £130.
Old pages are the other trap, because they still load. The Biltmore Mayfair's Christmas dinner package, priced from £155 a head, still says "Book your event by 31st October 2024". Mercante, at the Sheraton Grand on Piccadilly, still shows group menus from £59 a head next to a Christmas Day date of 25 December 2025. Neither is a 2026 offer.
So the safe rule for comparing Christmas party venues in Mayfair is short. Take the per-head figure from the venue's own brochure for the current season, add its service charge, then multiply by its minimum numbers for the room you want.
Which Christmas party venues in Mayfair suit a small office party
For an office Christmas party of 8 to 22 people in Mayfair, The Guinea Grill's Boardroom (20), Wine Room (14) and Gallery (10), and Amazónico's Private Dining Room (up to 22 seated), are the published fits, at £140 to £195 a head. The May Fair's Christmas packages start at 40 guests.
The Guinea's rooms are the clearest of the small options, with the 3 capacities printed on its Christmas page and the Sharing Feast needing just 8. Amazónico adds a smaller Private Room for 6 to 12, and its whole restaurant takes 52 seated or 80 standing for exclusive hire.
A standing drinks party costs less per head than a seated dinner: £125 against £150 at The May Fair in 2026.
Larger groups have fewer priced choices. Stanley's rooftop at The Chesterfield holds 60 for exclusive use from £12,000, and The May Fair's Danziger Suite and Crystal Ballroom need 90 and 120 guests. Gordon Ramsay Bar and Grill on Grosvenor Square has private rooms for 10, 30 and 40 and takes 70 seated for exclusive hire, but publishes no price.
A table that does not need its own room has the widest range. Sexy Fish's festive tasting menus need only 2 guests, and Novikov's set lunch suits a team lunch on a weekday in December.
Fun fact: The Guinea Grill's Christmas 2026 menus sit in its website's June 2026 upload folder, 5 months before the first festive party on 25 November.
For a fixed figure before the first phone call, The May Fair is still the most complete price list among the Christmas party venues in Mayfair this year, at £125 standing or £150 to £175 seated, plus 12.5%. For a smaller table of 8 to 22, The Guinea Grill and Amazónico publish both their prices and their room sizes, and The Guinea Grill is the only one of the 6 that labels its menus Christmas 2026 on its own page.
