Historic 1700’s pub Reopens with Exciting New Look

The Carpenter’s Arms, a charming traditional British pub, officially reopened on Thursday 25th August following an extensive three-week refurbishment, giving the iconic pub an exciting new look.

The pub has been given a facelift while keeping its traditional look and feel inside. Changes include all new soft furnishings and a refreshment of the first-floor bar, giving it a more modern, taproom-like design.

The pub is renowned to locals for its rooftop terrace, a rare find in the Fitzrovia area, but loved by guests wanting to enjoy a drink outdoors, away from the busy Tottenham Court Road. It’s the go-to gathering spot for after-work drinks and hosts a popular quiz night on Tuesdays.

Guests can tuck into all the pub favourites, from classic fish and chips and prime steak burgers to a delectable range of Sunday roasts to delight discerning guests. New to the menu will be an updated sandwich deal, which will run every weekday with a drink offering. Perfect for a lunch outing for the professionals in the area.

Along with the new additions to the food menu, guests will also be greeted with an extensive drinks menu, boasting a wide selection of craft beers, ciders and new to the menu – cocktails.

Speaking about the refurbishment, the general manager at The Carpenter’s Arms, Silvia Vahu said: The team is very happy with all the changes made in the pub, we all love the new designs and the small elements added like the artwork on the walls or the vintage back-bar displays. We think our long-time regulars will especially appreciate the changes made to the pub they know and love, but also feel like the new designs and menus will attract a few new faces, who we are thrilled to welcome into our pub!
