New Mayfair restaurants to try this January

It’s the post-Christmas slump and we’re all feeling the January blues, but the good news is there are plenty of exciting new restaurants in Mayfair to tempt your tastebuds this month. We take a look at some of the best on offer.

Canvas.

Opening on 14th January on Marylebone Lane, Michael Riemenschneider’s new restaurant is taking over Verru’s former premises. It offers the opportunity to build your own tasting menu from a range of 16 perfect executed dishes, and the surroundings are simply stunning.

Lanes of London.

Street food is the in thing right now, and Lanes of London, the Marriott Park Lane’s new restaurant, is fully embracing the trend. Offering the ‘best of London’s street food’, the restaurant’s name is inspired by the city’s distinct areas offering global cuisine, including Lebanese (Edgware Road), British (Portobello Road), Vietnamese (Kingsland Road) and Indian (Brick Lane). The restaurant is sure to attract crowds of friends and larger groups with its laid back approach to dining and opens on 17th January.

Boom Burger.

Ok, so Boom Burger isn’t strictly in Mayfair, but it’s just a short stroll away in leafy Notting Hill. After a long residency in the area last year, this Caribbean burger restaurant is now making their stay permanent. Their sunshine-infused weekend brunches and rum cocktails are sure to be popular with the locals, and Jamaican style burgers add a spicy, unusual twist to proceedings. Boom Burger opens at the end of January.
