Hanover Square

Hanover Square, set in the heart of Mayfair London, was laid out in the early 1700s and named in support of King George I and the House of Hanover. It was one of the first planned squares in the city, built to reflect the rising influence of the Hanoverian dynasty and quickly became home to well-known figures in politics and society.

Today, it remains a smart and central location with a mix of historic charm and modern appeal. One standout is Vogue House, the long-standing base for British Vogue and other major titles, showing the square’s link to the fashion and publishing world. Nearby, the newly opened Mandarin Oriental Mayfair adds a touch of modern luxury, offering fine dining, spa services, and five-star stays in a carefully designed contemporary building.

Hanover Square now also benefits from a dedicated entrance to the Elizabeth line at Bond Street station. This modern addition sits right on the square and connects travellers directly to Heathrow, Canary Wharf, and across central London in minutes. Alongside this, the square is just steps from the Bond Street Underground station, giving fast access to the Central and Jubilee lines.

Blending royal history, fashion, hospitality, and fast transport, Hanover Square is one of Mayfair’s most well-placed and respected addresses.
