Royalty in Mayfair

Mayfair is one of London’s most exclusive and elite areas, so it’s no surprise that members of the Royal family often frequent the area. In fact, Queen Elizabeth II herself was born in the Mayfair district, in a house on Bruton Street in 1926, so the area’s Royal connection has been present for many years. However, these days, it’s the younger members of the Royal family that can often be found shopping, dining and partying in Mayfair.

Pippa Middleton was spotted in the area this September, enjoying the opening of the 2&8 nightclub at the prestigious Morton’s private members club in Berkeley Square, whilst her brother-in-law, Prince William, indulged in a Mayfair night out earlier this year with close friend Guy Pelly. Sarah Ferguson and her daughters Beatrice and Eugenie are also Mayfair regulars, most recently pictured at 5 Hertford Street, another private members club, and Prince Harry can often be found drinking and dancing at popular nightclubs such as Salon and The Arts Club.

However, it’s not all about nights out for royalty in Mayfair. One of Kate Middleton’s favourite designers, Jenny Packham, has a flagship boutique on Mount Street, and the area is a popular shopping destination with all of the members of the future monarchy. Kate and William have also been seen dining at Claridges, one of Mayfair’s most exclusive hotels.

If you want to live like royalty for the day, why not pay a visit to Mayfair and try one of these affluent activities for yourself?
