Get married in Mayfair Library

Plans were announced last week for Mayfair’s beloved library to be used as a wedding venue. Whilst another local venue, Marylebone Town Hall, undergoes a makeover worth an impressive £50 million. This means that couples wanting to get married in Mayfair have a great new option at their disposal. The library will be available until 2015.

Bustling South Audley Street.

The library, which is located on bright and bustling South Audley Street. It is a pretty little building with plenty of charm and character. Ideal for everything from an intimate affair to an all-out bash. The library could be the ideal personalised wedding location for bookworms, scholars, or simply afficiandos of the Mayfair area. It also enables budding fashionista brides to marry in the style of Carrie Bradshaw. In the first Sex and the City film Carrie and her fiancé Big planned their nuptials in the New York Public Library.

A great history and tradition.

Councillor Steve Summers, the council’s cabinet member for the community, commented. “Mayfair library has a great history and tradition of its own, and will be a superb venue for wedding ceremonies. Celebrities of the status of Paul McCartney chose Westminster as the place to tie the knot at the iconic Marylebone Town Hall. We are convinced that we have found a great alternative whilst this great building receives a much-needed revamp.”
