Cool off with a cocktail in Mayfair

With temperatures rising (or at least fluctuating) across London, what better way to cool off after a long day of shopping on Oxford Street or sightseeing in the West End than with a contemporary cocktail in one of Mayfair’s finest bars? Here are a few of the best …

The Connaught Bar.

This hotel bar is one of London’s most glamorous drinking spots for those in the know. Boasting super-stylish, 1920’s décor designed by David Collins and a cocktail list to die for, this is the perfect place to end your day. We recommend a Martini from the legendary Connaught Martini Trolley, but if cocktails aren’t your thing, why not enjoy a whisky with a bespoke chocolate tasting or maybe a glass of Natural Orange Wine?

Galvin at Windows Bar.

This luxurious restaurant and bar on the 28th floor of the Park Lane Hilton ooze Bond villain-Esque style thanks to its recent £500k refurbishment. Refreshing long drinks such as the Winter Leaf cocktail (chestnut liqueur, Maker’s Mark bourbon, lime juice, elderflower liqueur and pear puree) are perfect on a hot summer’s day – at night expect stunning views over the London skyline.

Hush.

Since undergoing a lavish refurbishment in 2012, this sophisticated, stylish Mayfair restaurant and cocktail lounge attracts an upmarket clientele including A-list celebs – so make sure you pre-book! Fresh fruit Bellinis, champagne cocktails and the ‘True Blood’ cocktail with triple sec, Plantation dark rum, chilli, vanilla bitters and chocolate liqueur are amongst our recommendations if you’re in Mayfair for the evening!
